Melvin was trained as a locksmith in 1993 and opened Action Lock & Key in June of 1995. He continued to provide locksmith services for a few of his loyal customers when he decided to pursue a career in law enforcement for 15 years. The last 3 years of his law enforcement career he was placed in charge of securing three court houses. He helped design the 100 camera security upgrade of the Coweta County Justice Center, Juvenile Court, and Probate Court. Combining his law enforcement training and locksmith skills, he has decided to re-open his locksmith business full-time.
